Hi My name is Kit Lynch and I am proud to say I am Five's new Childcare Manager.

I have a long career in childcare and education during which time I had many roles including; Childminder, Nursery Nurse, Community Nurse and Manager. I am also an NVQ Childcare Trainer and Assessor and have come to Five from teaching in a further education College, teaching on all levels and to all ages.

My role is to support staff, children and parents as well as the many visitors to our setting. I will ensure the smooth running of the Nursery and Kids Club.

I am presently enjoying getting to know the staff and children and also introducing myself to parents. I hope to get to know you all and welcome any input you may have.

The children at Kids Club decided that they would like a "World Cup" theme for their half-term activities.

Planning everything with meticulous detail they picked their own teams, designed flags and even printed their own tee-shirts.

We found out some interesting facts about each of the countries and even had a go at cooking and tasting some traditional dishes.

After painting their faces with the various team flags it was out in the car park for a game of five-a-side to show off their football skills.
